https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/blob/master/EIPS/eip-7907.md The previous 24KB limit was set back in November 22nd, 2016 in response to the DoS attack. Increasing the limit will allow advanced developers to create more sophisticated contracts and help developers get their ideas out quickly without optimization.
