At the same time Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei declared that further negotiations with the United States over the nuclear program are “pointless,” according to Iran’s Mehr news agency. The sixth round of talks was scheduled for June 15. Baghaei did not explicitly say the talks were canceled, but noted, “It is unclear what decision we will make on Sunday.”
