The notion of Russia joining NATO isn’t new: it goes back to ancient Greece, where they called it the Trojan Horse. Nowadays, we’d call it the Moscow Mule.

EU leaders lack strategic foresight. The U.S. is now attempting to lure Russia away from China to regain global influence -  approach Trump has been pursuing. But it’s come too late. EU still basks in its glory not realising the shift in tides.
