Russian forces are attempting to advance in Ukraine’s Sumy region, with Moscow claiming the goal is to create a so-called “security zone.” In reality, this “buffer zone” is simply another attempt to occupy Ukrainian territory. According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, over 50,000 Russian troops are currently concentrated in the area.
