Bread isn’t the enemy….At least not real bread The kind made with just three ingredients: flour, water and salt. That’s it. But most of what we eat these days? That’s not bread anymore. It’s sugar filled, full of preservatives and loaded with stuff we don’t need all to make it last longer or taste “better” In Nigeria now the bread conversation has shifted to “which one is the sweetest” And that’s the problem We’re not eating bread. We’re eating cake pretending to be bread And the damage it’s doing to our bodies goes way deeper than we think I just miss when bread was simple and real Struggle bread over sweet bread any day

What kind of yeast is used where you are? I imagine similar to here, but I could easily be wrong about that. We usually have two kinds, a normal rising yeast and a fast rising one. Sourdough creates its own yeast, I just mean for normal raised bread, like your pic. 😊

Yeah, same here mostly, regular and fast rising yeast. Not many people use sourdough starters though, that one’s still rare around here. And just to add, that bread pic isn’t mine, I found it online…But it looks a lot like what we get here
