I feel like being a polymath is an earned, not declared, title. The bar is pretty high when you read about historical polymaths — typically Renaissance men / women with incredibly eclectic knowledge and skills

I prefer the term nexialist — as in, eclectic interests, with none of the arrogance attached of having achieved anything meaningful in any of those domains

I think I'm a polymath until I meet and talk with a polymath.
