The Blob Tree is one of the most valuable tools my wife and I discovered in helping our kids share what’s going on inside their world. We print this out, and will randomly ask the kids to share with us who they feel like and why. It’s something everybody enjoys, and it’s insane how much it helps them communicate.

this is fascinating, going to give it a try. Do find they commonly return to a specific number, like a personality neutral? Do you do it with them individually or group family convo?

I haven’t noticed a pattern or anybody’s “go-to” number. It often leads to lots of “oh yea, that totally makes sense - I’d feel that way too if x happened to me”, or the other kids showing empathy.
