The Blob Tree is one of the most valuable tools my wife and I discovered in helping our kids share what’s going on inside their world. We print this out, and will randomly ask the kids to share with us who they feel like and why. It’s something everybody enjoys, and it’s insane how much it helps them communicate.

Almost nothing - which is REALLY hard for me!

We ask any questions that come to mind to help them share a little more until we really understand what they’re feeling, or until it’s clear they don’t want to share any more m.

Yeeeeaaa my default mode is to teach, correct ,or reframe any negative feelings - but my wife is teaching me the value of just listening and showing our kids some understanding.

Well I’d guess it still helps them feel seen/heard even if it there are no more words after.
