we live in the most mercenary and extractive global economy that has ever existed. and we still double-think ourselves into believing we should go further. when people say "everything in crypto is a scam" it's because we have not proven to the average person that we care about them more than our bags. you think clanker is winning because it's fun? you think the global south is flocking to crypto because it's fun watching their own nations' currencies crumble? markets only win because they HAVE to or they DIE, and they will do everything in their power to live forever. they are, after all, only human. no, markets don't win because they're fun. they only get to enjoy being fun for a short while until they figure out how to mandate your participation. and as soon they figure that out, it is turned on you. show me the incentive, and i'll show you the outcome. fun is not the incentive of a market. survival is.

more cope. markets were always art, even by this definition. more "crypto is revolutionary" romanticism over something that's always been the case this industry is only just discovering because our heads are so far up our own asses we cannot see the world we live in. https://warpcast.com/jihad/0x5050179f

gonna disagree with you here the internet made it possible for anyone to *participate* in a global market crypto made it possible for anyone to *start* a global market for anything the more programmability and ease to start a market, the bigger the creative landscape and thus, more opportunity for markets as art
