Bavette’s review: - I got the dry-aged bone-in NY strip. Best steak I’ve ever had. - My wife got the filet. Solid, but not amazing. Maple & Ash is still my favorite filet in the city. - Sides were hit or miss. I thought the brussel sprouts were a 6/10, but the mac & cheese and mashed potatoes were both 8/10. - We shared a single piece of fried chicken because we heard good things. Nothing super special about it, but I think it’s the best plain fried chicken I’ve ever eaten if that’s your thing. - Ambience was great. Service was great. I walked out very happy. Overall 8/10 dinner, I’d definitely go back for that NY strip or to try the ribeye. With my newfound knowledge of the menu, it wouldn’t surprise me if my next meal there is even better.
