this may be an unpopular opinion, but i donāt like the common use of the word ācultā in crypto contexts i think itās strange, and inaccurate to what is actually happening. a cult is centered around one entity, the exact opposite of decentralization

The only technical difference between religion and cult is number of followers so I disagree a bit. Nothing will ever be completely decentralized, but itās good to abdicate towards that kind of humanistic future. Most DAOs and NFT projects are structured as B2C businesses and abide by law, lawsuits, and typically have a central leader. Even tribes of hunter gathers were ādecentralizedā if compared to a one world order. But in them they still had centralized hierarchy.

valid perspective. the main crux of my point is that i just donāt like the usage. it feels a little āoffā to me, i think thereās better paths to take than leaning into that cult energy
