Velodrome itself is forked from the Solidly project launched by Andre Cronje. Solidly combines Curve's vote - escrow model with OlympusDAO's (3, 3) game - theoretic concept and is also a DEX. Later, these experiences were applied to Aerodrome.
 
The Aerodrome team made full use of the opportunity when Base was newly launched. They deeply cooperated with Base to launch a DEX, which became the most liquid DEX on Base. This is the ability to seize opportunities, rather than mainly the original - creation ability.

Once an opportunity emerges, they ride the wave and push it to a new height. This time, since Base is backed by Coinbase, due to the concepts of compliance regulation and the narrative of the cryptocurrency hotspots, Aerodrome got another opportunity of "momentum".
