Some of you may remember that my kids are into theater and plays. We’re gearing up for the fall play and building some of the sets. We have a parent who is a professional carpenter and he’s built some amazingly detailed, sturdy, and ornate props. One of them was an outcropping ledge for the Lion King. It was on casters and was so heavy, it could support 8-10 middle school kids. Many parents pitch in during the last week of the play and their help is welcomed. It’s the parents who help week in and week out from the auditions to the final performance and afterwards that area the difference between whether or not the play actually happens.
For all the parent volunteers out there - thank you. 🫂
