It takes a certain kind of person to purposefully become a public figure. Some whoâve graced the proverbial stage before, have given the sage advice that you canât please everyone. However, with a lot of effort, you can find common ground. If you can help others and importantly, opposing sides to find that common ground together, you might have just the right temperament to represent a diverse swath of people in your community; perhaps even hundreds or thousands of constituents in a city. And maybe, if youâre quite blessed as an orator and mediator, you might have the opportunity to represent millions in an entire state.
The race for the open seats in Congress is on and the corporate super PACs are spending hundreds of millions of dollars to prop up candidates who will do the bidding of the corporations. This might help your 401K, but at what terrible expense?
