During the pandemic, we bought desks, a laptop, video webcam for a desktop, desk chairs - all so they could do their school work remotely.
The desk we bought our daughter wasn’t exactly sturdy when we bought it and over the last few years, one of the legs started giving out and we could barely move it to vacuum the room without it nearly tilting over.
So, I went to Home Depot, bought a grip of 2-inch wood screws, charged up my electric drill and filled that wonky desk leg with so much metal that it’s not going anywhere anymore.
If not for the wood itself starting to split, we’d keep it through middle school. However, it’s time to take it apart and replace it. I’m keeping all those screws I put into it though. 👀
