Is she going to the same high school?
If she is, it’s another thing to mentally prepare him for @eirrann.eth
It can be a socially dividing issue or an opportunity for both of them. If they can adjust and become some level of platonic friends, that social maturation might just set them both on really healthy social paths in their lives going forward. If a romantic relationship doesn’t work out, the relationship doesn’t have to end in some tragic tornado where they throw barbs at each other that never heal. It can end with some semblance of a healthy friendship intact.
If the only way a person can end a romantic relationship is to tear the other person apart so-to-speak, that tends to perpetuate the same unhealthy cycle in future relationships.
It might be too much to ask of one so young, but it’s worth having the conversation.
