Back in the early 90s, my friends and I went to Lake Tahoe in Nevada. We rented jet skis and swam in the lake. The lake water was so pure, clear, and pristine, you could literally fill a glass with water from the lake and drink it. It tasted waaay better than the bottled stuff you find in the grocery stores. My family and I visited Lake Tahoe with my in-laws shortly after the world opened up again - after COVID. The lake is so polluted now and overcrowded. It saddened me to see how commercialized the lakefront was and the trash littered about the entire area. I don’t know what it will take to get the lake and surrounding areas back to what it used to be. I suppose it could be cordoned off as a nature preserve, but they’d have to get rid of the nearby housing too. 🧐🤨
