There are those among us who are very athletic and itâs not uncommon to hear people say that theyâre just naturally gifted and suited for such activities. How it comes easy for some and not so much for others.
Take Olympian @afrochicks - Iâll pick on Naomi to make my point. When she joined Farcaster, she started these exercise groups in the /higher channel and other groups so we could join her in some tiny way along her training journey to the 2028 Olympic Games. A bunch of us joined her regular exercises and recorded videos / pics onchain for âproof of sweatâ so-to-speak and while it may sound like a cute metaphor, those sessions were brutal - even when she offered alternate exercises for those who couldnât do the full tilt version of her âwarmupâ exercises. Yes, WARMUP. After 3-sets of mountain climbers and other core crunching madness, I was in stitches on the ground in a puddle of sweat. đ
Being in Olympic shape is not some innate attribute gifted to a handful of lucky mortals. It takes mental discipline, grit, and other things that are tough to put into words. All I know is that Naomi (afrochicks) puts in the work every day toward her goals and I canât wait to cheer her on when she comes to /los-angeles in 2028 for the Olympic Games. đđ˝
