I strongly disagree with Vitalik that pump is bad. pump is a nascent form of content moving onchain — thereby letting it be valued and creating real value that can flow to creators and curators who can identify content value early. there's absolutely things *around* pump (and other asset classes + venues) that are bad (e.g. people manipulating markets), but I think it's actively harmful to denigrate pump itself. onchain creativity is good — and pump has been pioneering. thank you to @alon and team for their leadership 🫡

What are your thoughts on this @jessepollak: Assign on-chain rep scores to wallets launching on these launchpads New wallet = neutral Repeat rug puller? Red flag Proven deployer? Green flag it’s just a heads-up, showing wallet history on these launchpads. I'm sure there's ways to game the system but it at least adds a layer of making it more difficult to game. Let people know if a wallet launching a token is new, a grifter, or successful Crypto native ppl know how to vet a wallet, but could be a good tool for normies.

it’s not that simple, as you can create multiple wallets

but they would be considered neutral, signaling to be aware, if a wallet consistently does a good job it’d be credited with a good reputation. Rug pullers get marked.

if you are rug puller, you are switching the wallets i guess. so all the time you will see ‘neutral’ wallets. also, i think that real builders doesn’t deploy so many smart contracts, so it will also be hard to tag them as a good one

I hear you - there are plenty of ways to game the system, simply saying this could make it more difficult, and if you’re using the same wallet, it’ll reward you to have good credibility with people recognizing that address.

if we skip the games and analyze the best scenario, it would be all neutral being considered evil... and people having to pay trusted deployers to launch their coin creating a centralization issue (and giving them, ofc, huge earnings that are meant to be for creators in a permissonless world) scammers have complex systems with clusters of +100 wallets, new ones per coin, launching several coins per day, it will not work imo tagging trusted deployers is good idea but trust can be faked too agree, we need better audit tools in real time that includes market data, percentage of new wallets holding, trusted holders and many more (tho, will be buying again as degens and scammers will evolve with new systems)
