What’s the advantage to one of these nicer outdoor pizza ovens?  I’m tempted but it’s hard to justify the price when I can cook pizza in our existing oven.

They can reach 900F.

Typical home oven maxes out at 550F

Big difference on crust if you care about stuff like that

I have one. I can vouch. You’ve never had a pizza at 850 degrees for 90 seconds until you’ve had one

It’s real hot and you have to turn it constantly or your dough lights on fire 🔥. Still makes a decent pie

thats a material amt of money but that would be like a superpower to whip out a few pizzas at any time.

The ones I’m seeing are $500-1200 which seems high for what you’re getting… but those high temps are tricky…
