Just got my bill from my heart procedure. It came in at over $250,000. I have health insurance and already met my deductible so I’m not on the hook for anything but this is outrageous.

Agreed. My deductible is $5k and I still have $200+ monthly premiums. Healthcare in America is wild.

Luckily, I set aside enough money to meet my deductible through my HSA so I never see it in my bank account. Helps trick my mind into not realizing that I’m dropping thousands each year.

I’d just go curl up and die if I was sick at that point 💀
