I am not fan of vibe coding, I tried because a friend won a hackathon through fully vibe coding and we teamed up later. He taught me the hardship of vibe coding, and its tradeoff of shipping multiple features within days. I tried, I am not fond of it, maybe because I have the heart of software engineering who enjoy the process. But I've been rethinking about this, I thought that, maybe I don't have to delegate 100% all the coding works to AI. Maybe I just need to delegate the process that I don't like, which is bootstrapping the UI rather than improving the UX which I could do it myself. Since I've been using AI to brainstorm products etc. Maybe it's the time to embrace the vibe coding again, delegating the part that I want to delegate, not everything. gm founders, happy Monday

I vibe code a lot as a product person. Makes product prototyping so much easier than creating wireframes, mockups, user stories, requirements doc and going back and forth with the devs. That said, I'd still delegate actual development to devs so everyone can work within areas of their expertise (using respective AI tools), leaving vibe coding tool to do the tedious parts e.g. generating content, icons, UI/UX brainstorm, etc. Vibe coded systems are still clunky and difficult to maintain atm. So for sure won't 100% rely on these tools.

where do you put these solid separator between "I'll vibe code this" and "I'll delegate it to professionals"? I am not even sure my state now, but one thing for sure is, I cannot use this money to hire a person yet or outsource it to other person. Currently securing it for my own living, unless I got more which I could spend to actually hire professionals. At which sectors do you think AI are the best and which sectors do you think professionals are still the best? Well I won't delegate 100% security audit to AI, maybe just for the early step like less than 25%.

Definitely security and anything related to (onchain) payment have to be careful. But as my tech founder friend says, build first, worry later. Worry about this once you get traction. Vibe coding is the best tool to build prototypes and test ideas. Nothing too sophisticated, modularised apps work great. Once you see traction, combine different modules and that's when the professionals come in. In a month, I've already witnessed great improvements of these tools. Not surprised by the end of year, there are modularised components that you can plug and play, not having to worry about security and authentication. Idea is the only thing that matters then.

forgot to reply, but, I like what your friend said, like, literally just build. now I feel more encouraged to keep building, brainstorming ideas, and merging ideas that make sense as a new product. buidl season here I go
