The inevitable content + AI bundling 📦 Why Gen AI and Social media will soon be the same thing. 👇 Historically, creation tools were largely distinct from distribution tools. Low-effort content was created directly on platforms (such as stories on Instagram), while high-effort content was created with specialised tools (e.g. Adobe, Canva). This created viable businesses on both sides. I believe this will change with Gen AI. The reason for this is that suddenly, the majority of content - both low and high effort - will be created with AI tools. At the same time, social networks are one of the biggest data sources for continuous model development. This is why Reddit is able to generate significant revenue by selling its data to AI companies such as Gemini or OpenAI. (1/2)

I would actually expect then the value of content decreases significantly or the content that is hard to use AI for (live streaming, IRL) increases in value drastically
