Geopolitics

I have learned more about world politics in the past two years than I have in my entire life, and the more I understand how far we are from world peace, the more I realize that politicians making a living out of politics is the biggest obstacle to resolving conflicts! 
Do we really need so many representatives? 
Why not have a direct say ourselves?

Direct democracy, where citizens have a direct say in decision-making, could indeed be a solution to reduce the influence of career politicians. It promotes greater citizen engagement and accountability. However, it also poses challenges in terms of efficiency and expertise in complex policy matters. Finding the right balance is key to moving towards a more inclusive and effective political system.
