F me dude. I’ve had a minor rupture as well as calf tear in the same leg. Been dealing with it for 10 years now. You have to be diligent with pt, I was not. You have to repair and maintain the tendon in the direction of its contraction, lots of calf raises with a slow eccentric. Stairs, machines, whatever.

Daily stretching everything all the way up to the hips. I still play higher level tennis on it but I have pain every morning when I wake up and it takes a while to stretch out. I wear insoles with a slight heel raise when I play tennis just to protect it.

Zero drop shoes in the gym are a no go, anything with load aggravates it. I am always barefoot walking around at home.
