If there’s a likely future where the bot problem is functionally solved, does that make bot farms’ efforts in the present day futile? Bots have almost certainly generated over a million in $ revenue for Merkle, and are probably inadvertently accelerating their own demise, or at least irrelevance, by being so infuriatingly annoying. Like an inverted roko’s basilisk, simply the knowledge of this inevitable Sybil-resistant future should render the economic calculus of your bot farm near-worthless. The rewards you reap will be proportional to how much you contributed to bringing about this decadent, spam proof future.
