we started with meta-transactions, but we didnt like msg.sender didnt match the account and its centralization/proprietary implementations

we went to 4337 for decentralization and standard, but its slower and more expensive

now everyone is coming up with their own gas sponsorship relaying strategy

Ethereum Account Abstraction

This is an interesting perspective. 

I don’t think it needs to be an either or. 

The benefit of supporting EOA + 7702 is increased TAM for the developer.

However, I would argue that there is no upside to giving new users an EOA + 7702, only downsides due to feature limitations and security. 

My recommendation would be to support a smart account that is 7702 compatible. Upgrade the existing EOA users and give the new users a full smart account.

7702 +4337 continue to get good engagement. big expectations and narrative battle isnt over.

why are zksync builds non-deterministic (both foundry and hardhat)? why does updating the smart account change the proxy bytecode? and why is there only one proxy bytecode that works for my account factory?

- hardhat network helpers are not available on zkSync/v2.0.
- era_test_node doesn't support `evm_setNextBlockTimestamp` RPC...
