Kennedy Spills Star Wars Secrets
Kathleen Kennedy dropped some heavy info about future of the franchise. Turns out she tried to get David Fincher, Vince Gilligan and Alex Garland to direct Star Wars movies. But they all refused because they didn't want to spend 3-5 years on just one project.
Regarding specific films, Taika Waititi submitted script which Kennedy called hilarious, and Donald Glover's Lando is also ready on paper.
Simon Kinberg is rewriting his trilogy draft right now. But James Mangold's movie about first Jedi is paused, and Steven Soderbergh's idea for Ben Solo spin-off is shelved completely.
