During covid I got a little weird and bought a giant plastic tub, filled it with dirt, and then ran plastic tubing attached to a water pump I bought off amazon. Then I hooked that pump up to a smart outlet adapter thing and scheduled watering a couple times a day. It didn't win any awards for looks, but it did the job

I had basil coming out of my ears. I ate so much pesto I thought I was going to turn green. Next time I would plant perhaps an assortment of herbs instead of having a massive basil bounty. But I was like "There's no such thing as too much basil, right?"
