I am great at this. I don’t say I’m great at much but, when it comes to asking dumb questions, I am great. The problem is, if you have a question and you don’t ask it, you either will continue to not know the answer, or you will have to spend more time figuring it out on your own. And the dumber your question is, the faster the answer is likely to be, from someone who knows it, so you save a lot of time, and you know the answer. Plus, like Linda said, others may also not know the answer, and if you waste time figuring it out on your own when someone else could have answered in a second, not only will you have wasted time, but you will have deprived the others of knowledge. I probably owe it to some elementary school teachers who said no question too dumb and I listened. Dumb questions can be funny too. They can have some entertainment value. A topic for another day is dumb ideas. Very much worth sharing. I’ve got a ton of them.
