hot take: virtual backgrounds on streams mostly just look kinda… bad. the halo around the subject is visually jarring, and then the headrest of your chair suddenly decides to break the 4th wall & jump out at me. unless your office is in some kind of sex dungeon, your actual background has to be less distracting tbh

yeah I understand that use case for sure. But I’m talking about when people use them to record podcasts and the like, and if they don’t have a proper green screen they can look really glitchy.
