Are you a Mac user already?- if so you have a built in feature from handoff - you can use your phone as the webcam without the app and outside of a mirrorless cam it’s the best option 

I often use this feature in the road or as a b cam or overhead

I’m on Windows, and I thought this might be a cheap workaround but then again, I’m not sure how I feel about having to setup my camera each time.
