Trolltunga Rock (Troll's Tongue)
Trolltunga, or "Troll's Tongue," is a horizontal rock ledge jutting out from the mountain of Skjeggedal, about 350 meters above Lake Ringedalsvatnet. It is one of Norway’s most breathtaking—and dangerous—natural landmarks. Despite the risks, thrill-seekers line up for the chance to snap a photo at its edge.
The hike to Trolltunga is no small feat: it takes around 10 hours round-trip along a 12 km (each way) mountain trail. But the reward is worth it—unforgettable views of the fjord from a bird’s-eye perspective and awe-inspiring photos that capture the raw beauty of the Norwegian wilderness.
