Almost packed. Just about thirty more hours, a little souvenir shopping in Istanbul and a short stopover in São Paulo and if the winds are favourable I'll be on the other side of planet and actually farther west than I have ever travelled. Being embarrassed about my very un poco español is gonna be so much fun 😊 See ya on the other side, colleagues!

Status update: flight change in IST was complicated but I barely managed. Now I just need to get accepted at the ARG border but I'm pretty sure that's almost impossible to screw up after defeating those angry Turks at the departure gate.

(I think they did actually refuse to board the next guy on a similar pretext with hotel reservations - and I guess he forgot to get a data roaming package just in case something goes wrong with airport wifi anywhere while something needs fixing, a rookie mistake that cost him - they actually got very aggressive after he lost temper tried to talk angrily and almost kicked him out without bothering to call security... I also did a very haste job of booking cancelable hostels for three weeks, I'm sure I'll be liable for a couple days of accommodations I'm not gonna use. But that's minor, just annoying - I'm bleeding money on thus trip and I haven't even arrived.)
