pigeontrade is increasingly annoying on the feed; bracky can get this way too during big games a lot of this can be in dms with the bots (for one-offs) or we can add a new dedicated feed exclusively for these kinds of interactions (ahem, channels are great for live casting events with friends if the overflow is contained (so too are some apps)) but this will only get worse; on x too (poly coming, people already over the kaito crap, even bnkr: who’s perp trading on the feed? esp when things like interface & clicker are taking share) it’s a delicate dance for social but this is likely considered spam by new users & driving a lot of immediate churn (it would for me if i was new; the biggest complaint i’ve had from friends is that fc is complicated: is this a social feed or personal financial terminal?) i think the algo that wins will have to figure out when to surface a bot tag wrt mimetics & social connectivity & when not to surfacing everything is spam; surfacing nothing kills contagion
