let’s talk canned tuna
i’ve eaten a lot of tuna in my life, like a lot; this is the best tuna salad recipe:
-canned solid white in water (drained)
-half medium white onion (small dice)
-a lot of bread & butter pickles (diced)
-equal amount hot & sweet jalapeños (^)
-just enough kewpie to bring it together
-a lot of salt & WAY too much blk pepper
big bowl, scoop with tortilla chips to eat
potential substitutes if you don’t trust me or want to make it “picture worthy” (color):
-kalamata olives
-roasted seaweed
-peperoncino
-fried onions crisps
-sundried tomatoes
-roasted red peppers
-sweet corn
-pickled/red onion
-dill/sour pickles
-cucumber
i’ve tried them all; the top recipe takes the cake: it’s sweet, it’s got an acidic bite, it’s spicy, it’s savory—it’s fantastic
