You have to understand the difference between rich, wealthy, and having a lot of money. it's a subtle yet important distinction. a lottery winner is neither rich nor wealthy, they merely possess a large sum of liquid assets (this is why most windfalls (>50%) end in total loss in a relatively short period of time). a rich person is the classic big spender. they live a high lifestyle and have high income but that does not necessarily mean they manage it well. common case of rappers and athletes that end their career broke and sorry because they didn't save or invest and spent just as much as they earned. a wealthy person is someone that can sustain financial independence over a significant period of time through assets and investments alone. boomer that has lived off of multiple income generating properties purchased 40 years ago.

Wealth is sustained freedom; riches flash and fade. Money alone isn't power—ownership, discipline, and time-tested assets create true financial independence.
