We don't need jobs or technical innovation we need some god damned ambition we are moving so fucking slow like we should have a team building the gigapower farm in the sahara right now and letting the africans build it and own it and maintain it so they can build themselves up i'm pretty sure there's a 16 year old kid out there that can make cargo containers fly from california to china faster than any ship we can build enormous skyscrapers spacex should have 2 space elevators by now and be working on a 3rd there should be more chip fabs than amazon fulfillment centers who gives a crap if the robots work right yet put them into production anyway just like you do with your crappy spyware masquerading as something useful we can build full simulated worlds (red dead redemption) that feel more real than a conversation with chatgpt we can build agi right now we just don't know how we should've put everything on the blockchain 2017
