If nothing changes, we will be heading to the eastern frontlines on Tuesday. We’ll be making a stop in Kharkiv and nearby towns on the way to meet with the border guards and drop off some supplies, then continuing to the Donetsk region. Conditions in the Donetsk region have been pretty horrible - the “kill zone” (the area within reach of russian drones where anyone can be easily targeted and killed) is currently nearly 25 km from the active front. And if you’ve heard recent recon audio captured by Ukrainian forces of russian troops, the order for drone operators is, word for word: “kill whatever is moving.” Which means it doesn’t matter whether you are a civilian, press, aid worker, or evacuation team; if you’re seen in that area, you are their target. So, as always, things are up in the air until the very last moment and we have no clue where we’ll end up - but that’s the plan for now.
