One of the reasons so many people think Windows 11 sucks. All the bloatware that partners put on hardware.

To be fair, if the only experience I have with your product is ad-riddle bloatware stuff hostile anti-user bullshit then yes — from where I’m standing — your product sucks. Microsoft needs to exert more control over partners instead just taking their money.

Yeah, not defending MSFT on this. It was a business decision. That's how PCs spread across the world. Apple has their vertical integration model which has worked very well for them. Personally, I'm a point where Windows is good for gaming, Linux is great for everything else. Allows me to build my own PCs (which I've done forever and still enjoy doing it). Tried to get into the Apple ecosystem but found it too limiting personally. Everything is perfect if you have everything Apple. As soon as you don't, you're punished.

I’m all in on Apple. It’s a walled garden but it’s a beautifully maintained garden. Agree. Windows is to use begrudgingly for gaming. I build my own gaming PCs. The moment Linux is the better choice for gaming I’m there.

Yeah, that's the problem. It is a beautifully maintained garden (though post-Jobs it has been less beautiful, and I think it is trending down). I used to be on Windows Mobile :), then Windows Phone, then iPhone for many years (just not Macs) and now on Android for the last couple of years. In the US at least, Apple is king and no one optimizes or thinks of Android. Globally, it is a different story. TLDR: I'm stupid and make things harder for myself. 🤣
