Last night, Bill Clinton claimed  that America has added about 50 million jobs since 1989… 50 mil during dem admins and 1 during rep admins. 

Fact check: pretty darn true! Turns out 97.5% were during Democratic administrations. 👀

It’s just a complete shift towards extreme views for most issues.  It’s the same with republicans, it’s all or nothing in today’s political environment and both options are far more extreme than I am comfortable supporting.

Curious, what have they become in your mind? Is it the whole party or just the most extreme elements of it you object to?

I am pretty sure Bill Clinton would be a slightly right leaning republican in this day and age.  I kind of identify as a clinton democrat but i cant under any way align myself with anything the party has become.

Yeah, it’s mind boggling how polls always show more people trust Rs with the economy than Ds. Guess that’s the better messaging coming in to play. Just so backwards when you look at the actual data.

I’m thinking a lot of it has to do with “Dems want to raise taxes” which again goes back to messaging when the reality is Dems essentially want to raise taxes for the wealthiest 10% of the population

Hmmm, I think anything either party's officials say is best assumed to be either obfuscated (with faulty statistics or biased data) or just straight up lying. 

So, glad you fact checked this! 

But, im curious what KINDS of jobs were created and also how much IMMIGRATION went up in those years. 

Supply of labor vs demand of labor is important and matters in a way that I think most people don't think about.

If 10 million jobs were created, but  immigration went up by 20 million, Then the amount of jobs available actually went down in a given year!
