1. Mechanical Tension- primary driver of hypertrophic gains. High force contractions trigger anabolic processes through mechano-sensor and mTOR pathways
2.Muscle Damage- Microtrauma inititiates inflammation which stimulates satellite cells and growth factors
3. Metabolic Stress- metabolite accumulation increases hormone response and fiber recruitment
