Why won't the so called realists let optimists be???

An optimist shares their dreams and a realist pops up from nowhere to call them delusional. Why???

Just let us be please. If you think we'll be disappointed (which doesn't happen often as the universe has a way of granting wvery request), let us be, still.

Exactly! It's really sad. I feel for them tbh.

I think realists feel discomfort when it comes to optimism. It is easier for them to dismiss the hopes and dreams you have because it challenges their own belief. It is unsettling for them. 
It’s easier for them to say optimists are delusional because they’re trying to feel better about not dreaming or not dreaming big enough
