The last time I read Great Expectations was in primary school. My father got me the revised version so I could understand it a little bit. Since it was long ago, I didn't remember what the story was except that I enjoyed it. It left me feeling good then. I think because of the Estelle character. I picked it up again yesterday and I've been in hysterical mirth πŸ˜‚ I'm also using it to improve my vocabulary.

I recall getting halfway through 10 or so years ago, then I lost my e-book reader, switched to Kindle, and lost all my books. Never picked up GE again. Reading books of they era as ebooks does make it a lot easier. You can just double tap any word to see what it means.

i read Great Expectations in primary school too. but it was the original version. i took it from a cousin's house then. i had headcahes after every chapter because it was too much for me. lol. especially Dickens' use of 'die' as 'the'. it took me a while to finish it but i did. i loved how it went in a totally different direction that we imagined. πŸ˜‚ the thief has to be my favorite character. i don't remember his name anymore.
