💅 Customization + consistency One of my favorite reasons for running a local LLM is the consistency it offers. How often have you used an LLM for writing assistance, and suddenly he switch styles out of the blue, even with the same prompts or presets? Local models eliminate surprise updates, shifting responses, and company-imposed limitations. You have full control over how your model operates, ensuring your AI tools remain consistent. 3/5

🧠 Educational insight Trying out local models offers firsthand insight into their capabilities, especially their limitations. These smaller models tend to hallucinate more frequently, vividly illustrating the broader challenges AI systems face. This behavior highlights the potential for advanced models to inadvertently fabricate information, emphasizing the need to develop a keen eye for spotting such discrepancies. Engaging with these local models equips you with the critical skills necessary to navigate and interpret AI outputs more effectively. 4/5

🛠️ How to start 1. If you're comfortable with the command line, check out Lllama for a huge library of open models—one single command to download and run: https://ollama.com 2. If you prefer an app, LM Studio might be your best choice. It provides a user-friendly interface for browsing and running LLMs, with plenty of guidance for beginners: https://lmstudio.ai For enthusiasts, tinkerers, or privacy-conscious users, local LLMs are practical, powerful, and fun to experiment with. Don’t be afraid—give it a shot and try out the AI offline. 5/5

Running a Large Language Model (LLM) on your own device may become the norm in the future. I believe this—or at least hope for it. You can start experimenting with it right now. Trust me, it's a comforting thought! Running LLMs locally is no longer reserved for experts with expensive hardware or hacker skills like in the movies. Thanks to advances in model optimization, you can now run powerful AI models directly on laptops and even smartphones 🤯 Here's why you should give it a try and how to get started: → Privacy + control → Customization + consistency → Educational insight 1/5

🔒 Privacy + control Using online AI tools often means your conversations are used to train future models, sometimes without your explicit consent or knowledge. Running a language model locally ensures that your data remains private and secure, as it never leaves your personal environment. This empowers you to maintain control over your AI experience, free from the oversight of large tech corporations, granting you autonomy and peace of mind in your digital interactions. 2/5

apple’s about to lock in /f1 streaming rights in the us at ~$150m/year—a huge jump from espn’s current ~$85m/year deal 🤯 just for context, sky sports pays ~$250m/year for f1 in the uk, while brazil’s comes in at just $8–13m/year. f1's popularity in the US surged after netflix's "drive to survive" in 2019. ESPN reports that f1 races now average 1.3m US viewers, more than twice the 2018 numbers. time will tell if it is a good deal or not 🤔 https://www.businessinsider.com/apple-f1-streaming-bidding-rights-espn-movie-2025-7

AI is moving fast, and in the same way, the design, and the UX specifically, needs to keep up. Not just on the web, but (soon) across all mobile apps too. As LLMS evolve, our UX needs to evolve with them. From easier (and faster) input methods, to smart outputs that drive real insight—not just text blobs. Visual and context-driven UI is the new standard. Traditional chat-based AI feels more and more outdated. The next wave is task-driven UX: sliders, buttons, visual nodes, and tailored actions. Users get power and clarity, and AI delivers real, actionable value. And yes—MCPs will be a huge thing to watch as AI features get smarter and more integrated into everywhere we work and create. It’s not just about being AI-first, but AI-smart: integrating AI into users' natural workflows and wherever real work happens. I'm super excited to see how these patterns shape the future, and better of that, being part of that! What a time to be alive!

I tend to agree with Superman movie rankings—always had a soft spot for Donner’s original. I haven’t watched the new one yet, but I'm curious to see where it lands for me after a rewatch marathon. ✅ Superman: The Movie ✅ Superman II ✅ Superman III 🔲 Superman IV: The Quest for Peace 🔲 Superman Returns 🔲 Man of Steel 🔲 Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice 🔲 Justice League 🔲 Zack Snyder’s Justice League https://gizmodo.com/superman-movies-ranked-2000626095
