apple’s about to lock in /f1 streaming rights in the us at ~$150m/year—a huge jump from espn’s current ~$85m/year deal 🤯 just for context, sky sports pays ~$250m/year for f1 in the uk, while brazil’s comes in at just $8–13m/year. f1's popularity in the US surged after netflix's "drive to survive" in 2019. ESPN reports that f1 races now average 1.3m US viewers, more than twice the 2018 numbers. time will tell if it is a good deal or not 🤔 https://www.businessinsider.com/apple-f1-streaming-bidding-rights-espn-movie-2025-7
