Some people are good at symbolic moves. Back to the 60s, but with better range? https://www.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/jun/12/russian-warships-cuba-visit

Haha peak If you had posted this in gloom, you wouldn’t have got a thoughtful response from Thomas explaining why there was no need to be gloomy about this Post in gloom to stay gloomy Post in geopol for geopol perspectives Each has a purpose

Good guideline! I do cast to /gloom to laugh at what our societies are becoming. So more self therapy to get through events of the day, than getting deeper into gloominess. Or not? :)

That’s a nuanced one. Do sad songs make us sadder or make us able to cope? I personally never listen to sad songs and if I was really gloomy would never post on gloom But others differ

Definitely a personality trait to either laugh at, or seriously drown into events, whether in in geopolitics or generic gloom. Sad songs is a difficult one. Some can be very beautiful to an individual, without ever experiencing the underlying sadness (e.g. Teras in Heaven by Clapton), and just beauty remains?
