A decade or two ago, I used to talk about the climate crisis a lot. Now that the problem has gotten much worse, you would think I'd talk about it more, but I've noticed that I actually talk about it less. I'm less likely to bring it up in conversation. I'm trying to understand why. Does anyone else relate to this?

I do relate to that. Would it be that before no one cared, so politely listening up to the next beer, but now more likely bump into people who fight back. Getting exhausting and our vital energy budget is limited.

Maybe some of that. Also in the past it felt more impactful because you were often teaching people something they didn’t know about. Now everyone knows about it, and it’s more likely that other people are sick of discussing it, or they feel powerless and depressed about it so it’s just a bummer to bring it up.
