Finite games are fun; often the source of creativity. Because the rules, and the duration of the game, and the goal of the game are set - you get to try new things, have fun, find what works - all in a closed loop, serious environment. Finite games can be really fun - no wonder sports, board games etc are fun

Fun and educational. Important to keep in mind their limitations. Many “rules” and “reflexes” acquired through finite games do not apply to infinite games. Like academia on infinite prisoners’ dilemma, or the “career” of an individual. The value seems really into building some critical thinking.
