Base is not ERC20. Ethereum is not ERC20. Base is EVM compatible. ERC20 is a token model used for fungible tokens by all EVM chains. EVM chains have different token standards - ERC20, ERC721 (NFTs), ERC1155 and many more. Base = A Blockchain ERC20 = A token standard or model The token model for Solana is SPL. The token model for BNB chain is Bep20 (even though this is just renamed - still maintains the ERC20 standard). All these are common knowledge already.
